Create a Group

All you need to create a group is a name and a description. Navigate to the group discovery page within the app and select the plus button in the bottom corner. You will be presented with a form input where you can give your group a name and description and set some options on your group.

Group Visibility

Group visibility controls who can can discover and join your group and if approval is needed to join or not.

Public Groups

When a group is marked as public, anyone that is registered to the site can search for and join the group. No organizer approval is required to join, but offensive users can be blocked should the need arise. These groups work well for large groups or events that are open to anyone.

Closed Groups

A closed group is listed on the group discovery page and any registered user can find the group. Users can submit a join request and it must be approved by an organizer before being admitted to the group. Organizers can remove members from the group should the need arise. These groups work well for medium sized events that are open to friends and acquaintances.

Private Groups

A private group is not listed on the group discovery page which means that the only way to join a private group is either via a share-link, QR-code, Share-Card, or direct invitation from a connection.
